Reena blends 20+ years of expert teaching with deep care and understanding, creating a supportive space where every child feels seen, heard, and ready to shine. Her mission? To help your child unlock their potential and grow into a confident, resilient learner.

Reena is a warm, inspiring, and dedicated educator with over 20 years of teaching experience, helping children aged 4 to 11 grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and achieve their academic goals. As the founder of Academic Success, she is passionate about creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.

An alumna of Haberdashers’ Girls’ School, Reena combines her own academic journey with her deep understanding of child development to offer exceptional learning experiences.

She has worked across schools, online and private settings, supporting hundreds of children in building strong foundations in phonics, maths, English, and reasoning, as well as preparing for 4+, 7+, and 11+ entrance exams.

Reena’s approach is personal, thoughtful, and child-centred. She understands the unique pressures families face and is committed to creating a learning space where children feel supported, motivated, and excited to learn. Her lessons are tailored to individual learning styles, focusing on building confidence, resilience, and a growth mindset.

As both a teacher and a mum of two, Reena knows that learning is about more than just academics, it’s about nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Outside of teaching, Reena enjoys Pilates, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family, hobbies that reflect her balanced, thoughtful, and nurturing approach to life and learning.

Raksha is a warm, dynamic, and nurturing teacher with over 20 years of experience helping children grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and achieve their academic goals. She brings a wealth of expertise to Academic Success, where she supports children in building solid foundations in Maths and English while preparing them for 11+ exams through engaging, personalised learning.

As a respected Year 5 teacher and member of her school’s Senior Leadership Team, Raksha leads on Science education and champions Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. She is also the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, reflecting her deep commitment to creating a safe, inclusive learning environment for every child.

Raksha’s teaching style is creative and thoughtful. She understands that every child learns differently and adapts her lessons to individual needs, encouraging questions, promoting critical thinking, and making learning fun and accessible. Beyond the classroom, she leads a range of enrichment clubs, including Critical Thinking, Lego building, mindful colouring, and board games, nurturing curiosity, collaboration, and well-being.

In her free time, Raksha enjoys cooking, painting, crafting, and exploring the outdoors with her dog, hobbies that reflect her calm, creative, and joyful approach to life and learning. Mimi is a highly experienced and dedicated teacher with nearly 30 years of expertise in supporting young learners and helping them excel. At Academic Success, she leads the learning journey for our younger students, creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel confident, cared for, and ready to thrive.

Mimi has a proven track record of helping children gain entrance to some of the UK’s leading independent and grammar schools. Her expertise in early literacy, numeracy, phonics, comprehension, and reasoning has helped thousands of children build strong foundations for future academic success.

Mimi’s teaching is tailored to each child’s unique learning style, ensuring that every lesson is engaging, accessible, and enjoyable. Her goal is to nurture a lifelong love of learning, helping children develop the confidence and skills they need to tackle new challenges both in and out of the classroom.

With her wealth of experience, Mimi is a trusted guide for families navigating the early stages of their child’s education. She is passionate about giving every child the tools, knowledge, and self-belief they need to succeed.

Joanna Jones

Meet Joanna – The Encouraging Educator Who Turns Confidence Into Capability

Joanna is an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher with a degree in Psychology and a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). With several years of experience in the classroom, she specialises in making learning meaningful and memorable through practical, hands-on activities that spark curiosity, encourage independence, and build confidence.

At Academic Success, Joanna brings her patient, encouraging teaching style to every session, carefully tailoring her lessons to suit each child’s learning style and needs. Whether she’s guiding a child through a tricky Maths concept or helping them find their voice in a piece of creative writing, Joanna’s thoughtful approach ensures that children feel supported, capable, and proud of their progress.

As a mum of two daughters who are both now at secondary school, Joanna offers parents a unique dual perspective, combining professional expertise with personal insight. She knows how important it is to build strong foundations early on, and works with each child to develop the skills, confidence, and self-belief they need to succeed.

Outside of teaching, Joanna enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time in nature. She’s also an avid ice hockey fan bringing the same energy and enthusiasm to her lessons as she does cheering from the stands!

Meet Puja Gada

Meet Puja – The Holistic Teacher Who Unlocks Potential

Combining academic expertise with emotional intelligence, Puja nurtures confident, capable learners who are ready to tackle challenges head-on.

Puja is an experienced and dedicated qualified teacher with nearly 20 years of experience in education. Her career spans classroom teaching, senior leadership, and coaching - all rooted in a deep passion for helping children grow in confidence and reach their full potential.

With a rich background spanning both primary and secondary education, she brings a calm, caring, and creative approach to every lesson. Having taught across Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, Puja understands how to adapt her teaching to meet the unique needs of each learner. Whether she’s supporting early readers, building confidence in Maths, or helping older pupils deepen their understanding, she creates a warm and encouraging environment where children feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn.

Her lessons are fun, engaging, and thoughtfully structured to build key skills step by step. She believes strongly in positive reinforcement, making sure each child feels seen, heard, and proud of their progress.

In addition to her classroom teaching, Puja has served as Deputy Head (Pastoral), where she led wellbeing initiatives and supported children with emotional regulation, behaviour, and confidence. She has designed and delivered INSET training sessions for staff on topics such as pupil wellbeing and behaviour management, and also established a School Council to promote student voice and leadership across the school.

She is also a certified Life and Performance Coach and currently works as a Head Coach on a global self-development programme, where she trains and mentors new coaches to guide others through personal transformation. This unique experience enriches her teaching, allowing her to support pupils not only academically but also in their emotional growth and mindset development.

Puja’s approach is grounded, empathetic and results-oriented. She brings out the best in both learners and fellow educators through a coaching style that builds resilience, focus, and self-belief.

Outside of work, Puja enjoys walking, singing and running community events. She loves spending time with her young children. She believes in lifelong learning and brings that energy into every session she teaches.

With years of experience as a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistant, she has a strong passion for helping children build confidence, develop key skills, and foster a genuine love of learning.

At Academic Success, Deval brings her calm, patient approach to every lesson, creating a safe and engaging space where children feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop both academically and socially. She understands that every child is unique and adapts her support to meet individual learning needs whether it’s helping with early phonics, building numeracy skills, or nurturing social confidence.

With a strong background in supporting children with special educational needs, she tailors her approach to each learner’s unique style and ability, ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and capable of success.
