Year 5 Summer Intensive
The complete 11+ preparation week.
A comprehensive five-day programme covering all four 11+ subject areas in a single week. Designed for Year 5 pupils who want structured, expert-led preparation across Maths, Reasoning, Comprehension and Creative Writing — in one focused week.
Your child will cover:
Session 1: Maths & Non-Verbal Reasoning
Multi-step word problems, speed and accuracy, problem-solving strategies · Non-verbal reasoning: pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, sequences and matrices — all major NVR question types covered
Session 2: Comprehension & Verbal Reasoning

Advanced-level preparation. For pupils who are ready to push.
A focused five-day programme at advanced level — designed for Year 5 pupils with solid foundations who are ready to work at the top of the 11+ mark scheme. Both Maths and English are taught at exam level throughout.

Maths Mastery Advanced
Multi-step word problems requiring sustained reasoning · Speed and accuracy under timed conditions · Challenging topics including ratio, fractions, algebra and data interpretation · Exam-style problem solving across all major 11+ Maths question types
English Mastery Advanced
Comprehension at inference and analysis level — fiction and non-fiction · Extended written response using PEE structure · Advanced creative writing: narrative voice, atmosphere, structural control · Editing and self-marking — the skills that separate top-band writers

The perfect starting point.
A structured five-day programme introducing the core skills your child needs, taught at the right level, with confidence at the centre. No prior 11+ preparation assumed. Designed for Year 4 pupils going into Year 5 who are beginning their journey and want to build strong, reliable foundations across Maths, Reasoning, English, Comprehension and Writing.
Your child will cover:

Core number fluency and mental maths strategies · Long multiplication and division — column method and bus stop method · Fractions, decimals and place value · Area, perimeter and measurement · Multi-step word problems · Non-verbal reasoning introduction: shapes, patterns and sequences

Ready to go further.
A challenge-level five-day programme for Year 4 pupils who have solid foundations and are ready to be stretched. Both Maths and English are taught at a higher level throughout — this is not revision. It is acceleration.

Multi-step word problems requiring real reasoning · Challenging fractions, decimals and percentages · Area, perimeter and measurement at problem-solving level · Introduction to ratio and proportion · Speed, accuracy and checking strategies under timed conditions
